will the leftover oil be good as much as the one in unopened box? if I buy the one 2x5qt, it's cheaper. however, the oil will start being exposed to air. Is that ok?

The graduated markings on the side of the 5 gal juge, and the engine dipstick. you don't need to dose in a boat load of small bottles to know you're getting the right amount.

My vehicles all use over 5. I would love to use both. 1 5qt jug and one 1 qt. Then dump the old into the 5 qt. Best of both worlds

If you change your own oil then that shouldn't be an issue. Always extra left over.
