My Super Flower III PSU that I bought 2 years ago (10 year warranty) now has a loud, grinding fan noise and the fan eco modes no longer work. Just contacted Super Flower through Newegg msg center to...

I could be wrong but I don't think this is a good buy unless you have: a case that was built for this PSU a ATX full tower case It obviously wont fit a ITX micro case but I would avoid this...

Bought one. The strip can be attached anywhere with a magnet inside the case. They have a 10 year warranty so lot of option for the future!

Owned a Seasonic platinum Psu for several years. Drove it pretty hard with up to four GPU’s back in the day, never once had an issue with it. They make great power supplies. This one with a backplane...

I think if there were the appeal that Seasonic thought there would be, then they wouldn't be discounting it as heavily as seen here. This power supply's MSRP isn't completely faked. When launched...

I've been using seasonic psu exclusively for years but I don't understand the appeal of this or how it makes cable management any easier. Maybe in their custom designed case for it I guess

I bought this for my last build and it was really difficult to put in a case. I had to buy some cable extensions to connect a few things.

Looks neat https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/seasonic-connect-750w-power-supply/2 Can always just sell it if it doesn't work in case set up. Seems handy to have around for testing though. ...

They call it a backplane, but it's more like a breakout board. If you have a case specifically designed for it, that would be ideal. But there's nothing saying you couldn't mount it elsewhere...

Most all SATA/SAS controllers circa 2005 had Staggered Spin-Up (SSU). Some LSI HBAs require separate power if the motherboard pcie slots don't carry higher supply current. Afa Y-splitters...

Yes, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the power supply otherwise. I just wouldn't go out of my way to get this particular configuration unless I was also buying a case designed for it. ...

True. But at this price point and with this warranty it’s hard to find another A tier PSU. Picking one up for my nephew who will be building his first computer this year.

Not necessarily proprietary, just extremely purpose built. You gain nothing by using this in a regular case, if we're cutting to the point. There's better and far less strict cable management...
