Was anyone who bought this able to get the Displayport portion to work via USB-C? I checked the model on the Asus website and it lists USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 with Power Delivery so I don't think this...

Not really. HDMI 1.4 is still commonly found in new laptops these days.

I'm no expert but that HDMI description doesn't match the rest of the specs; my guess is it's inaccurate.

Why in the world would you need WiFi 6? What in the world are you doing downloading 300GB games to it? WiFi 5 is still fine for everyday tasks.

I was thinking on pulling the trigger on this, but then saw it's wifi card is wifi 5. *facepalm* why not just put a wifi 6 card in here? Not going to buy now.

I've shopped and bought 16" over this past Xmas. For $399, I'd say this no-gpu weight is a tad high (imo, inexplicably, about 0.5 lbs ), though I'm recollecting the $400-$500 range of laptops I saw....

Ancient HDMI spec really hurts the utility of this laptop since that forces you to use the only usb-c for an external monitor Old wifi is a bummer too but not too huge a deal

Good deal if you don't need a backlit keyboard. HP puts it on their silver models often, which lacks contrast. These would be well suited for it.

it's easier for them to push the price lower. not really hard and expensive to upgrade RAM/SSD by your own if needed.
