This sounds WAY more unnecessarily complicated than simply using a pre-Google TV Chromecast device, such as a used Ultra.

We use tailscale with our chromecast and onn box to allow us to use the same Netflix account from anywhere. Works like a charm, though the user interface is bad. You do need something always running...

This is the 1080 version and is slower. Get the onn box from Walmart for 20. 4k and double the ram over this version.
