I got the 42", I love it. The joystick is hard to get used to, that's my only complaint but I assume it'll get easier the more I use it

Anyone get one and can report back? I’m tempted to get it even without the free tool as the price is pretty slick for an electric mower ZT with this kind of power

I don't know why you bring Jesus Christ into the discussion, but clearly you *were* talking about the lead-acid mower, the 480e...and I quote: "You are probably referring to the old 480e which...

JFC dude, we weren't talking about your mower. They don't even sell the lead acid version anymore

The mower literally comes with a charger designed to maintain the batteries optimally. I have no idea why you think you need to buy a different one, or how it would handle charging 4 batteries at...

Yes, I know. It comes with a float charger. For lead acid batteries in general, you have to pay attention to what charger you use

I have the lead acid model, and that also comes with its own automatic charger.

This thread is about this mower, which comes with its own charger. Per the instructions in the manual, yes, you should leave it on the charger whenever possible.

Depends on the charger, trickle chargers tend to overcharge if you leave the battery on too long. Some chargers will shut off when the battery reaches a certain level. Look for one that has float...

You can leave the charger connected all the time, and it does the same thing right?

Electric ZTRs like the Ryobi don't have a hydrogears...they are direct drive electric motors. Also, in my case I have the twin-blade, non-lithium tractor (rm480ex or whatever the model is). I...

I got one in 2021 for $1600 on ebay with free shipping. It was a scratch and dent but when I got it, it had no problems. It's been 3 seasons not including this one about to start and it's doing...

If I'm buying a riding lawn mower, it has to be gas-powered. This won't be sustainable for me in the long term. What's the cost for a replacement battery?
Post #170476749 added 04-22-2024 12:22 PM by diavolo33 in Deal Talk
I didn't know Ryobi made a 30" walk-behind. $2K isn't shocking relative to the $1600 MSRP of the Toro Timecutter, but forking over $900 for a second battery would be nuts.

40v batteries? just curious but my 40v blower lasts about 15 minutes before its dead, though I do enjoy it. I cant see 2 of these lasting much more while pushing a massive mower around. For a yard...

Storage is an issue too. This will take up a lot more of the garage.space. They do have a 30" walk behind that is compact, not as much fun but only $2K. Not the best reviews. And $2K seams like a...

They already are becoming mainstream. I have multiple houses in my neighborhood now with robot mowers. Luba 2 is a great deal for wireless. Worx makes some super cheap boundary wire models.

Skip the Huskies and get a Luba 2 for half the price with no wire. I recently sold my 42" EGO zero turn and went the robot route and have had no regrets. Sometimes I will even sit on the porch...

I have no idea of the breakdown, but I'm in the camp of people whose ZTR is only used for mowing. I'm in a PUD and it would be rare to see anybody using their mower for doing anything other than...
