Is it 440c? Where'd you find that? That seems unusual for an inexpensive Taylor knife from China. I would expect 440a, maybe some xCRxxMOV (and likely not 8CR).

440c is a great steel, if whoever makes those S&W knives can be trusted that that is what they are really using. I would have guessed closer to 3cr or 4cr and not an especially great heat treatment...

The B2 ultra mini is decent for a keychain... Other reasonable blades are Gerber off amazon.

So from what I understand, these blades are made by Taylor Cutlery.
They are 440c. Not the best steel but certainly not the worst.
I also sure for price, it is a decent deal.
