I dont think the issue apply to the 13900 or 14900 since by default they are 65W cheap made to work within the limits. The issue is on the K or KF models

You will be better served by an i5-13500 (14c/20t) and more ram / ssd cache drive honestly and save some cash / energy. Cheaper cpu and mobo. I think this is the sweet spot for a diy powerful home...

Even with WiFi 7 I'd still rather be wired. When WiFi 200 comes out I'd probably rather be wired.

Next gen cpu’s expected to have large IPC increase and they’re coming this year so might as well wait. X3d variants aren’t expected til 2025 though.
