One thing I will warn people about (people who have ordered hard drives from newegg probably already found this out the hard way ) .. newegg has a bad habit of not putting enough packaging/shock...

I can't comment on the noise of the 14 TB model since I never bought one :) .. I will say that the 2 TB version faithfully served me as , surprisingly enough, a file storage drive for the longest...

That information seems to be about the 7200rpm version and not the 5400rpm version on sale here. Do you know if that's still accurate with the slower drive speed?

This is the loudest of the bunch according to the datasheet...I'm going to wait for a 12 or 14TB as those are quieter
