Owned it for a few months now and honestly wish I had gotten something better. Once you figure it out you quickly realize it's better to wait and spend more money for something better.

My understanding is that the pumps in these Breville machines can overcome up to 15 bar of pressure and their OPV is set to 9 bar.

I saw a model at Target that has 9 bar pressure.. I clicked this Macy's link, but didn't find pump pressure spec. Usually, 15 is good. (20 bar may not be needed)

I have the regular and had upgraded to a bottomless portafilter and better basket. But agree, Plus is the way to go.

I have the regular. I agree with shadowx, get the Plus if the price is right. I mostly do Americanos so wasn't concerned about auto frothing. But the 3 way valve would be nice.
