Flonase (regular one) does not have the decongestant, hence can be used for weeks/months at a time.
This one has decongestant which is meant to be used no longer than 72 hours typically.

Nasonex doesn't work for me.
Flonase I try to use only a few months out of the year or I build up a tolerance. The bloody nose comes from overusing it.
Used to get the occasional bloody nose...

When my insurance stopped covering Nasonex they told me to use Nasacort since it was available OTC.
I did that for several years but Nasonex always worked better.
Not that it’s available OTC I buy...

They have different active ingredient, in the same class. Nasonex is water based so it's sometimes a little more gentle, flonase is alcohol based. Either way you can minimize side effects and...
