Atomic is a little smaller and a little less powerful, MAX XR is a little bigger and more powerful. The differences are not huge. Regular XR has a brushed motor and the other 2 are brushless

The Milwaukee version is not nearly as good IMHO. The handle is too thick and it doesn't have the variable speed paddle trigger which is much nicer. I am all Milwaukee tools but I bought this one...
