Used to be, now made in China per the UPC label.
My only gripe is that the UPC is stuck to the cork side and is a pain to get off cleanly.

Fineness of measurement is necessary to give that repeatability. It's not just that the marks are in the same spot, but that your measurements in relation to the marks will be in the same spot....
