I am in the process of feeling the pain now. Could not flush mount it in a corner due to joist locations. But 12 feet ceiling saving me from bumping my head into it after utilizing full 48 inch drop.

It would probably be easier to look in an attic and see if you can find the manufacturer printed somewhere on the truss and just contact them for the specs.
