Unfortunately the surge has way less torque than the regular one...I have both and hardly use the surge. It is quiter tho

I have both, unless noise is a concern the non surge is more powerful. Recently we used my surge driving long timber screws in treated 6X6's, my son had to go get his non surge in order to do the job.

Not sure why you were downvoted but this worked for me too. You have to login on an actual computer to do it though. Wouldn’t let me on the phone app

I love the surge, probably my favorite m18 tool. For sure quieter than my normal impact while in the garage with the door down and has a bit more finesse than the normal impact.
