Yes, walked into the store, did not ask questions, simply told them I wanted to cancel current service, then start NOW. The guy asked why, simply told them price, we both laughed, and he did it.

I just chatted with Xfinity customer service online and she said I need to wait 90 days to be considered a new customer.

You can't switch from your existing Xfinity service online, but go to a store, cancel old service, have them enter you as new customer into NOW service, walk away with new equipment, and you're done....

Yes you can access the modem to disable the wifi and use your current router.

Some of us have firewalls/wifi mesh systems that we would rather use.

I read elsewhere you must completely cancel all services. Only then can you sign up for this.
They don't want to make it easy to cannibalize existing customers

Hm if this was a cable modem with a 5G backup, I would have taken it.
As is, it's more expensive than the current 200mbps 25 deal or my current 300 mbps for 25 deal.
Unlimited bandwidth is nice...

xfinity said this is not available yet. did anyone sign up and how? do we anticipate that xfinity will boost the speeds at no cost like they do with their regular plans?
