If you liked the show, read the books. They're not long & you shouldn't have a problem catching up. I'd read them so long ago, I couldn't remember how they played out differently than the show, but...

Haha. I will talk about the "bad" techniques of borrowing library's ebooks.
Are you talking about making illegal copies with 3rd party software? How about folder changes to confuse the library...

I don't think it's in any way a bad thing, as it doesn't prevent the next person in line from borrowing the book, but if you don't exit out of an opened title on your Kindle you can take all the time...

The books are far superior. I kind of enjoyed the show but it felt a bit dull compared to the real story. The Silo Saga still goes down as one of my favorite SF reads of all time.

There are ways around the 2 week limit for borrows. Some people consider them "bad" so I won't go into detail. It's not difficult to figure out on your own.

The show does a solid job of keeping it like the books. Books are definitely worth reading, Hugh Howey is an absolute wordsmith, and I enjoyed the books more than I've enjoyed the show so far.

Overall pretty close storyline and character motivations. There are some scenarios that were created for the show, and things that are out of order based on the books, but otherwise did a good job. I...

How similar to the show are the books past the general setting?
I liked the show and wish I had read the books first.
