my heater barely has the heating element on for 10-15 minutes at a time and only when there is someone in the room. But I get your point.

Definitely do not do that, smart plugs aren’t design for that amount of throughput and will melt/cause problems

Man this stinks, I use two of these heaters and loved them so much that I bought a 3rd as a backup. App controlled heaters are so nice. I'm bummed.
