Thanks. I completely understand daisy-chaining, just didn't know it was a thing on monitors...
Does a DP out port for daisy chaining also double as a DP in port? If so, maybe OP can utilize it...

At work we use a VDI (virtual desktop). When I'm at work I connect to it using a company laptop. At home I use a personal desktop.
The VDI is going to be decommissioned soon so I will have to use...

Some monitors have Display Port (OUT) ports.
You connect this monitor (Monitor 1) to the DP output of the computer/laptop.
Then use the DP Out port on Monitor 1 to the DP In port of Monitor 2....

I'm not familiar with daisy-chaining monitors together, every time I've run multiple monitors from a PC I've used the GPU outputs.
Assuming you can do this as well, then you could plug your laptop...
