I had this experience with Staples. I quoted the FTC law, and it went back and forth awhile, but eventually they gave in.

I couldn't return it, I had it sent to my parents apartment in Hawaii and they don't have a car and I was not renting a car and the time and expense to take a cab to return a $24 box of protein bars...

I had this happen to me. A duplicate of an order that was placed and filled a couple weeks previously had been made by Amazon's system without my knowledge, no conformation of an order being placed....
