my experience is that with tv's it's best to use the vga port... you will most likely have geometry problems using the hdmi
in fact the owners manuals usually will tell you that
in your case...

The TCL can do 1920x1080, but not 1900x1200. There may also be an issue with overscan on HDMI. Try using the VGA port on it.
