Many of the solar eco-drives are supposed to last 6 months without light. Maybe it was not exposed to enough light in the past months, and if it was, maybe a warranty issue should be pursued?

Solar is bad. My Citizen Eco Drive died on me 2 hours before work. It made me very late and I'm back to my battery powered Seiko.
