The big camera i laying at home. The small camera is with you when it happens. All the features you mention are worthless because the camera is not there when you need it. BTW, a small camera can...

Yup.. that one. Wow... making a profit sounds bad. :) Do you get some kind of great deal on these lenses or something?

It depends on your type of photography. I like my 24-105 as a general purpose lens, but I really prefer my 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro. I don't see enough "WOW" from either of the 24-70's, and I really...

I don't care really... I don't bother reading his stuff. Others really don't care for him though.

I haven't bought a ton. Just the 18-135 (kit lens), the nifty fifty & most recently, the 85mm 1.8 USM. What would you recommend as my FIRST 'L' lens? 24-105?? for my walk around lens? or 24-70?...

Yeah, unless you are loaded with cash or really need something the 5D III has that the 6D doesn't, then the 6D is probably going to be the better buy for you... and you can put the money you save...

That's a sound plan... but the old adage is to invest in the glass before the body... So start selling the ef- slenses now and get a head start... And you get to have an l lens right now. speak...

I have the 60D and am still learning a improving, so I'll wait on the 6D, but do want to.upgrade to a full frame eventually. I just purchased my first speedlite (the 600EX-RT), so, in a year or so...

Pretty good 6D vs 5DmIII comparison here: http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/6d/vs-5d-mark-iii.htm

I got my 6D today. I haven't played with it much yet but it seems to work very well. The boost in low-light performance over the 7D is quite significant and impressive. It's working great with a...

I used to own the 60D as my first DSLR for over a year. It was a fantastic starter camera with the boost of few L lenses until I started taking more and more indoor photos of my kids. Without proper...

It's good to be optimistic, but I'm thinking I'll see sub 2500 come next September through Black Friday and not before then. The problem, as I see it, with pro level gear is that the demand from the...

:) I'm in the same boat as you. I was also disappointed in the specs of the 6D, and now am holding out for the 5D3. Kicking myself for not jumping on the BF $2500 deal (somewhat shady dealer) or...

I was disappointed with the 6D as well when I heard its specs... but it is better than the 5d mkii and not too many people would argue that is worse than the 5dmkiii... so it is position in the...

IMO Canon got greedy. They used to sell their lenses at a discount, but almost every new lens that got released this year is significantly more expensive than its predecessor (with the exception of...

Just saying that for now, EVF technology isn't ready for prime time, it's close but not quite there. Sony's probably got the best implementation in their FF A99, but you do lose a bit of light in...

Danka... I wouldn't call it expertise as much as trial and error and error. That frequently happens with all new tech. Apple was selling the original iphone for $500 because people were willing...
