Well, I just received mine and was supremely disappointed with it. I live in a newish home (2006 built) with great electrical wiring, etc. Plugged the 2 units in and was getting just around 20mbps....

I have similar zyxel 500mbps powerline adapter but mine has the electrical passthru(more expensive) These things work great when u have very poor wifi signal at the other end of the apartment/house....

The gigabit sounds impressive on this. I have a set of Actiontec 500mbps powerlines with only 10/100 but get about 8 MB/s as well. So speeds must be bottlenecked by the connections.
