Just my 2 cents, but i would advise against that. Try calling MS and putting up a fuss. There's a slim chance they'll fix it for free. Any local shop that undercuts the MS repair fee by more than $20...

That is an overheating related error. If your slim is within the first year, send it back to MS. Anything you can do to fix it is only temporary.

RROD in modern-day slim form. Best long term fix is to send it back to MS. Any homemade fix will only be temporary at best.
