I've been playing around with this for about a week, and so far it's working great as a very low-power and tiny HTPC. I put in a 2 GB stick of RAM and 2.5 HDD I had laying around, and installed...

you are probably right. I had it as a HTPC. but put in the software for it to be general use. app start up and (even on SSD) alittle slow IMHO. and doing things on it compared to my other...

I gave away my Roku to my roommate after getting OpenELEC up on the mini-pc. Just way more flexibility using XBMC. Again, these mini-pc's are misunderstood. I honestly think perhaps you may have...

Had a Flirc already to control WMP on a Windows 7 PC. Didn't get much use out of it and probably was experimenting more than anything. After getting the mini running with OpenELEC, pulled the Flirc...

People make this comment all the time and I never have understood it. If you're using 1080p video (the whole screen), what else are you doing at the same time? I can understand split-screening your...

Sounds interesting on the Flirc and HDMI control. Did you need to but a Flirc adapter for this box?

I had these before... 1) SLOW CPU. yeah it may stream 1080p fine and play video fines. but that's about it. you can't really do say 1080p and something else. you will notice slowdowns. bad for...

In mine, I have a 1GB stick of RAM. Decodes 1080p, DTS, AC3, and unpacks downloads off USEnet all at the same time without a hiccup. I am running OpenELEC. I have a 640GB 5400 rpm drive in it. ...

Good luck! Keep me posted on how it goes. My build is around a P4. Enough to play the games that I really care about, but can't handle the newer ones or SFEX series.

I agree about these boxes being misunderstood. However, it may not be the best for a MAME build. These boxes have underpowered CPUs and offload as much as possible to the GPU. However, MAME (and...

I bought one of this, put RAM and a 64 GB Microcenter Adata SSD and installed Windows 7 Liked it except the fact that it would stop detecting the SSD at times and boot into the BIOS screen (since...
