Thanks for offering help with the BSOD. I'm coming from the XP world, so Win 8 is a dramatic change and IMO is only good for touch screen platforms. Win 7 is much more comfortable for me...

For me the AMD processors tend to run warm and not perform all that well
the lenovo would be a no brainer 3rd gen i3 would be pretty nice

My advice is Samsung. I have almost the same lap top at work. Asus has a bunch of issues, plus it's touchpad is not the most comfportable one.
