you can use it the way u want its a regular ssd, but say if u have a regular harddrive (one that spins) u can use this ssd as a caching drive with the intel driver.

this is a caching drive if u have a desktop, all u have to do is install the Intel controller which suports 32/64 gig ssds has a caching drive, and for 15 bucks u cant go wrong.
