My 15.6 inch laptop weighs almost 5.8 lbs how lazy must you be to have an issue carrying a 8 lbs laptop. I take my 5.8 pounder everywhere I go and I am always on the go. Not to mention we are talking...

This is already a very cheap price, especially for a 17" notebook with 1600x900 resolution. You might be able to find some almost simliar prices on eBay. There are also some people who sell refurbs...

Yes. It would probably be overkill for that usage. I'd recommend you go for a lighter/smaller laptop, unless you don't care about the weight.

Would use k10stat to over clock to 2.4ghz and under volt. This would play league of legends decently.
