there is a big difference between 2.5lbs and 7lbs. you must not have experience with having to travel around and doing important business on the run

This is already a very cheap price, especially for a 17" notebook with 1600x900 resolution. You might be able to find some almost simliar prices on eBay. There are also some people who sell refurbs...

Yes. It would probably be overkill for that usage. I'd recommend you go for a lighter/smaller laptop, unless you don't care about the weight.

Would use k10stat to over clock to 2.4ghz and under volt. This would play league of legends decently.
