Starting out on the cheap would it be better to get the 55-250 with the t4i deal or the 75-300 tameron? Going to get the 135stm for video but I'd like to photograph the animals running through my...

in for 28-75 f2.8. repped. thx My old coworker has one and I shot with it a lot on a Canon 7D. Now I have a Canon T4i. I'm not a pro photographer, but was happy with that lens in a lot of...

Looks like the Sigma lens is on sale. Might bite this time. Also, here's a quote from DPReview: "Compared to its most direct competitor, the Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD, the Sigma...

My excuse is I have two cameras. If you are going FF soon, might want to wait on some dealers that fit your needs better.

Between your 16-35mm and 24-105mm you've got the focal range covered. No real need to consider the lenses talked about above unless you "have to have" f/2.8 in the same range that your 24-105 covers....

Good point! But I just got the Canon 16-35mm f2.8 on the last 20% sale. So far, it is a great wide angle lens even though I haven't used it much yet. I ordered the 24-70 f2.8 once at Canon. The...

In your case, I would buy the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 for $500 for the non-vc version, $649 for the Tamron vc version (VC= IS) or the Canon 17-40 F4 for $800. I lean more to the Tamron for it's f/2.8 that...

the range is hard to use, but if you want a normal to medium telephoto, then go for it. IQ is really good, and on crop, you wont notice it's weaknesses. Makes for a good normal/portrait zoom. if...

Last month, I got my $100 rebate from Tamron USA in two weeks after sending it. Didn't expect it that fast since the rebate form said it will take 6-8 weeks.

I didn't buy it yet. I'm not in a rush but have been keeping a watchful eye for a full range lens. Thanks for providing your thoughts on it!

I have Canon 24-105 f/4 L. I also like to have Canon 24-70 f/2.8 for low light, but the cost does not justify for me currently. Do you think this 28-75 f2.8 is a good pair with 24-105 f4? Or...

I sold Canon 18-200mm after receiving this lens, ans I would say I am not missing Canon at all, instead enjoying this lens because of extra 50mm range. Also, this lens is 150gm lighter than Canon...
