nah you cant put it in the living room. this is mostly for track light which may be seen and implemented in restaurants, bars. fyi

Oops yeah I forgot about the need for a transformer with the adapter if impractically buying these to use in 120V standard base sockets. Our track lights are indeed 12V though.

No. Look at the images, it's GU5.3, 2 short pins. 30W equivalent bulbs are rather dim for living room use unless separate from main lighting. If buying an adapters you may as well just buy E26/E27...
