I used the CD to install the printer with a network cable. That worked.
I then tried to get the scanner working. I went to the Dell site to get the scanner drivers. The network installation failed....

Glad you finally got it. Doubt it will hurt if temporary but I would suggest finding a used CRT-TV stand on craigslist for cheap or even free and using that.
