This looks like it might work for a small job. If you have a medium to large yard you are not going to be able to vacuum up with a handheld. If that was possible you would see every landscape company...

Reviews on Amazon are pretty solid, complains that the bag breaks easily and the tube is a bit short meaning if your taller, you'll have to bend over a bit.
