I think the reason ram prices are going up is because of SSDs. A lot of the ram companies are making SSDs instead since they are more in demand/more profitable. I didn't think it'd double like this...

Sorry, you mad it sound like you were holding off getting some DDR3 RAM until DDR4 was out. That's probably going to be fairly expensive too for the first 6 months or so.

I completely agree... Got 32gb of DDR3 1600 for 110 almost a year ago...
I don't remember right now exactly what it is, but it's certainly not cheap ram... Has the pretty heatsinks and all that...
