Based on my experience (I recently bought a radeon 7570 that was also a working pull from a dell 8500, and all it would do is display 800 x 600 x 32bit color generic windows drivers on my 32 bit win...

in re ITX PSUs: Non-modular tend to have more flexible cables, especially important for cable routing in the often extremely limited space right behind the PSU where the cables emerge. The modular...

This was cheaper a few days ago. I purchased it then when Newegg offered the $5 coupon code.

That's the CX430 version 1, I believe. Here is a review for the CX430 V2 (which has been the shipping version for at least a couple years now) ...

This price is not worthy of front page status, but no wonder, an FP mod is the one who posted it. This is yet another example of FP mods patting each other on the back.

FYI - there are other (notable) build differences aside from the semi-modular design. CX430M: http://www.legitreviews.com/article/2169/4/ The heatsink at the edge of the PCB holds the active...

FYI, you get the highest efficiency in an 80 Plus power supply at 50% load. So your best bet is to size accordingly. Only using 50% leaves headroom for future upgrades and is less stressful...

Agreed. I have one modular and several non-modular PSUs. The majority of the cables are used anyway, so modular provided limited benefit. In the three smaller case HTPCs I have built, I used...

2) Wattage is NOT IMPORTANT! Looks at the amps per rail. A solid 430w power supply will destroy a piece of junk Ford like 600wPSU! Do some research in it. Built well over 1000 PC's myself, not...

I'm shocked its front page. I have paid $17 and $20 many times for this PSU AR. $30? Get the Seasonic, unless you have a big video card. This is a just-OK PSU.

The non-modular version has been around $16-17 many times over the last 2-3 years. The modular feature is not worth double (and it's worth less to me).

This power supply had often been at $20 AR and I bought a few at $16 or $17 AF. I too questioned this being on the front page at $30.
