I own this lens and it is a good walk around in daylight lens. Shaper if stopped down two stops from wide open.

I dont own any of these lenses; but imo from limited research this tamron pzd drive 18-270 and the sigma 'macro' version are on the same level. i might be a lil biased towards the tamron as i own...

There's no comparison with prime lenses, prime would always win on IQ IMO. I was comparing it to a similar Sigma zoom lens, Sigma definitely is better, better built and better IQ.

Quality is soo relative. what are you comparing it to ? a prime lens? a constant f/2.8 ? is it in the same price range? just saying cos i can suggest so many better lenses that cost a lot more or...

I own one and that's why I said I would not buy Tamron ever again after experiencing 18-270mm which is not that great.

Yes, it should. Here's some more info... Just keep in mind for future lens purchase that since the D3000 doesn't have a built-in motor for AF Lenses, it relies on the lens itself to have a...

I've had the comprable Sigma 18-250 (non "macro" version) for a couple of years now and its been a great all-round, walk around lens. I've taken thousands of pics at bday parties, weddings,...

the 18-200 is a decent economical small, good light lens. good for hiking/walking around, with decent image quality, and its cheap. If I still owned a cropper, I would pick it up just for the...

I'm not a Tamron fan. After owning the 18-270mm, I would not buy another Tamron again. I don't have the Nikkor 70-300mm VR, so I can't compare. Probably the Nikon 18-300mm is a better comparison...

Anyone with this lens -- how loud is the PZD focusing for AF during video?

is the 18-270mm good for Nikon D3200, does it do a better job at telephoto compared to Nikkor 70-300mm VR ? sorry never researched this lens, and dont want the deal to run out while researching :-)

It would work, not sure why people think it wouldn't work. But the IQ is not very good.
