I would say it's the real weight of the bike. I once had a similar bike from mongoose which weighs like 40lbs. Maybe the package would weigh 5lbs.... you can assume that the bike would weigh 35lbs or...

Genesis V2100 for $149 are much better bikes than these...

Agreed.. though reasonably priced, $16 off the regular price doesn't seem too slick.
