I've tried the above suggestions a dozen times and can never get the # 12 to show up. I can not reset that toner message at all. I've used Brother printers for ages and never had issues with...

the override "continue" feature only works for so long. if the cartridge is new, it needs the reset gear and cover on the left end. the big white wheel that is the reset gear must have the pointer...

THANK YOU! You can use the web interface to tell it to "continue" when toner warnings come up vs the default "stop" which will stop all future printing until the toner is reset... but my issue was...
