I heard the inferior Verbatim value brand also have this same avg/poor 3rd level quality code. I've also come across some TDK Dvd-r that use this same code. I still use dvd's to archive old TV shows...

6-14-13 O.O.S. & no way to order. In-store (B&M) the 50 cakepacks are $11.99. Metinks the advertising was a mistake and SHOULD have read 50 pk, not 100 pk. K-Mart would have made good on it...

It's useful if you work a lot with older computers, every so often I come across an old PC that won't boot from a flash drive so DVDs are needed for OS installs or for tools like MemTest, etc.
