OC'ing was fairly easy on the extreme 4 but the fan controls aren't as robust as the p8z77m pro I'm running my 2500k on. I actually picked up two extreme 4's from newegg because of the 8 gig ram...

I called a near by frys and they said they had an i5 2500k display item. They had to send it through the maintenance to verify functionality, but they said to call back in a day or two. Two days...

Yes, sorry, you are right, I meant i7 2700k. I grabbed it for 195 plus tax. i3 2125 was 85 and I thought it would make for a good htpc project!

Grabbed a 2550K because I am sick of waiting for the 3570K to go down in price. Hope PCIe 3.0 isn't that important. Or 1600 Ram for that matter as well.

Glad it worked for you! I'll see how high I can OC mine on air this week. My 2500k is at 4.4 with reasonable temps and stable as a rock.
