The Source engine is one of the most diverse engines I know of. Look at the difference between Half Life 2 and Portal 2.

Game is not worth more then 10 dollars. No single player, online only, 6v6 max, its going to be awful. Runs on a ancient engine older then call of dutys, looks like crap. Avoid.

The game looks pretty awesome, even if it's just multiplayer. These days I'll put 10-12ish hours into single player, but then 100-200 hours into a game if the multiplayer is great.

Keep in mind that it actives on Origin -- despite using Valve's Source engine. Haven't heard anything to suggest it will be coming to Steam. :( Nonetheless, good deal on a pre-order.
