It mentions HEC Orion, which this one is not. A 585w Orion has one rail of 18a @12v. The One is this deal has 2 rails at 12v, rated at 28a and 20a. Basically, this is a much more capable psu than...

430w is probably fine, really depends on your system config though. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/core-i7-4770k_11.html

i bought an antec 400w bronze for $11ar last year. I maybe a brand junkie, but while it is true that this one is 550w, my personal preference is to get the antec 400w for a basic system over this...

I see your point... again it was due to my missing the fact that the ripple test was done at full load. My bad.

I didn't mean to be a douche, but you basically told everyone to forget the conclusion and that the PSU was going to damage their equipment... which is a bit of a stretch unless you're running it at...

If you're trying to max out this PSU, you're not too bright in the first place. This is designed for a very basic system, not some high-powered gaming rig. I doubt you'll be able to find better...

Dude, forget the conclusion... read the ripple section. High ripple levels will damage your hardware. I've read around the web that it is best to keep it under 80mV (ATX spec is 120mV but you don't...

It would be an overkill if it were priced higher than lower-wattage PSUs or if it were less efficient. At $9.99, it's the least expensive quality PSU you can find.

Honestly, I wouldn't feel comfortable using this in a gaming rig, even if it met the requirements. Though for a basic system, this is kinda overkill
