I'd be surprised if you get the cash discount on a payment plan. The cash discount is usually for cash up front. So you'd have to start at close to the end of the year.

Yeah I know - in addition the new requirements that you get a Dr note to be able to submit receipts for many OTC meds is a PITA.

Try www.newdentalchoice.com. It's not insurance but a savings plan. They negoitiate prices with dentists. For D1080 the price is around $4500 depending on zip. It's cheap and there is no waiting...

Agreed. Stay local as you will need adjustments each month and traveling is going to cost you and be more of a pain. Not a viable option.
