I agree with the other posts. No one will let you audit anything unless you have experience. A cert won't change that.

while I don't do auditing I would try the best you can to get involved or at least get to know policy. that Is what your audit will be based on.

Nah, you really don't. To most hiring managers (myself included), a cert with no experience = no experience. Having a cert is not at all a foot in the door. You're much better off concentrating...
