Yeah its possible that's causing lag because it parks every 8 seconds. You'll probably want to use wdidle3 on it but you might have to take it out of the enclosure so be careful not to break or lose...

Agreed. Confusing part is SeaTools is showing errors on both exteneded and short tests while WD tool is showing nothing on both.
