I'd try a reset of the laptop through windows "Reset this PC". You could also try a clean install of windows. Run an antivirus scan and make sure you have all current updates.

I bought both the $399 5558-5718 and the $449 5558-5717. For me, at least, the $449 is the keeper. They both weigh a ton, so the fact that the $449 is a few ounces heavier does not mean much....

god you are stupid. The laptop is 2.5 year old trash? No, it's brand new. The processor might be a year or two old but it's not going to make a huge difference.
