Report are even more expensive now, 5 reports for $99! WTH is carfax thinking? I mean i understand that there is server cost and employee cost but really? $20 a report when i buy 5? $50 if i buy 1?...

For a time you could get a free AutoCheck by creating a listing with the VIN on eBay. Not sure if that's ongoing.

You can use MotoSnoop.com for a free AutoCheck report. Not as 'good' as CarFax, but should cover the basics.

There will intermittently be free reports from Autocheck, but if you need it now, just pay the $50 and move on.

Hey guys does anyone know where I can get a carfax for cheap. The price for one is 50 and I only need one report. Does anyone know if any alternatives or people who would split the costs?
