and thus why i used a v brake bootie. that is how it is suppose to be but it's kind of odd. cut it short and grime stacks up in the cable and jacket. leave it like it is and it looks odd...and grime...

the silver cable ends are for cables. if you have smaller and larger the larger are for brake.
