I'm in the same boat. Bought whole foods egift certificate afternoon of 19th and were in my inbox by 4am on the 20th. Amex showed the charge originally as the 19 but changed to 20th.

I contacted to Amex CS for the order placed on 6/17 but did not post before 6/19. They are going to monitor to make sure the credit will be posted within 90 days.

Yup, this is exactly what happened to me. I put the order in on 6/19, but Staples didn't process the transaction until 6/21 (post date) -- so no $25 credit for me... you snooze, you lose.
