This monitor easy over-clocks to 75hz . I play games and they look and play awesome with this monitor. I do have 2 4gig graphics cards running in SLI.

It will be a few years before a single GPU (non SLI) can do minimum 60+FPS/4k/Ultra settings. Even the new GTX1080 only hits average ~40FPS/4k/Ultra settings. (with minimum of ~20-25FPS) To put...

Fair enough, and I appreciate the good faith feedback. I only try to pass on money saving knowledge when I can, and I also post in good faith. It is entirely a matter of personal preference, but:...

I couldn't verify this but is it true that tv's have lower refresh rates than monitors? That could be THE primary reason for tv's not being used as monitors. Quite a few LED tv's do have IPS...

All of those reasons and no freesync. Even with freesync over HDMI the TV won't have the refresh range making it pointless. For color reproduction I don't know of any TVs that are IPS panels,...

Not saying it's not a valid question. Just that it's been repeated and I think the answer has been given that the refresh rate for a tv is not the same as a monitor. And also, a 50" 2 ft in front...

Because I still have not heard a logical answer why anyone would spend so much more money, on so much less screen real estate, and in this case, lower resolution than 4k as well. Why? I believe it's...

Why would I buy a 980 or 980ti for $400 when a 1070 will blow the doors off of them at $370 or less?

People want higher resolution than that; it's quite low. For those with bad eyes, it's great. For those with better eyes, who want to see more onscreen, 1920x1080 is pretty low res.
