It always shows the % humidity of the room on the digital display. You can see what you have it set to by pressing the up or down arrows. Otherwise it will always show what it thinks the RH is.

I just unboxed this. It doesn't make much noise at all. I couldn't find a setting that showed the RH of the room. Not that big of a deal since a have an external RH meter ($12 on Amazon). We'll see...
